The Lovers - Ostara Tarot Card

I made this many years ago as part of a gallery show depicting the many cards of the Ostara Tarot deck. Most participants picked their card upon reflection, but I was merely told "You're doing the Lovers. We saved it for you." To this day I take that as a compliment:> Knowing this topic had been covered ad infinitum over the centuries, I wanted to try and give it some fresh perspective, a twist, thus the blades. I suppose this was and is a reflection of my love life -- though my art has a reputation of being fairly sexy, my romantic history is one of savagery and despair XD
